Challenge: A large retail parts center required a disaster recovery solution to protect against unscheduled downtime.

Solution: Abtech was hired to develop and implement a DR plan. Using asynchronous mirroring in combination with Abtech’s dedicated DR/Support Center in San Diego, the customer was able to achieve a cost effective solution to provide both DR and real-time backup. This process was created with no configuration changes to the customer’s existing infrastructure and no impact on their environment. Because the DR system is maintained by Abtech in our DR center, the customer receives 7x24x365 access to the replicated system via high speed, secure networking services. The solution provides for immediate switchover in case of a disaster and the system is tested twice a year for effectiveness.
