Challenge: A large manufacturing company in Los Angeles required a disaster recovery solution for their UNIX environment. The requirement consisted of connecting into the corporate network backbone, in order to service over 500 users in six different countries, using Direct Satellite Communications for both IP and Telephony purposes, while utilizing a highly secure encrypted solution.

Solution: Abtech was hired to develop, design, document, configure and implement the DR solution. The solution encompassed a sophisticated low cost “instant-on” service, utilizing DOD approved products and services. A complete end-to-end DR test is conducted on an annual basis to ensure IP connectivity, printing and performance to all facilities affected.
